Parking
On average, parking is not an issue. There are two lots ( 1 & 2 ) directly across from the marina entrance and another lot ( 3 ) along the western portion of the promenade. We recommend using the western lot ( Parking 3). The two lots directly across from the marina entrance is primarly designated for boat owners and guests of the cruise lines which operate out of the marina. If you park in one of these two lots you run the risk of recieving a NYC parking violation ticket.
The marina is in close proximity to Citi Field and the USTA National Tennis Stadium. During the US Open or when the N.Y. Mets are playing a home game, parking can become an issue. High traffic alerts are issued when both events are running simultaneously. It is not unusual to be caught in traffic for 30minutes on these days. Lot 3 is sectioned off as a paid parking lot for Met's patrons during a home game. We recommend taking mass transportation or car pool and allocate additional travel time.
